Anatomy Resources

The purpose of this guide is to assist Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science students, faculty, and staff in locating resources relevant to anatomy.

Acland Anatomy

Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy provides a 3-D examination of the human body, including the upper and lower extremities, trunk, head and neck, and internal organs.  Along with videos that give an in-depth look at human anatomy, users will find a glossary for anatomic names, an A-Z index, and exams on the different areas of the body.

 

AccessMedicine

AccessMedicine is a useful resource for finding anatomy-based readings, case studies, images, multimedia, and patient education materials. Users can easily search every aspect of AccessMedicine with a single search bar, browse textbooks, test themselves with case study questions, and more. 

AccessMedicine: Human Anatomy Modules

The Complete Human Anatomy Modules and Human Anatomy Tours are interactive modules allow for visualization of the human body in an interactive, 3D format where both male and female anatomy modules can be viewed. Choose a module and then utilize the options on the left-side of the screen to learn more about human anatomy. The bodies can be rotated and layers can be dissected to reveal the skeletal system, nerves, and more.

Comprising over 30 million biomedical citations, PubMed is a valuable resource for discovering references and citations in the life, behavioral and chemical sciences, and more. While not every citation includes full text, PubMed provides an excellent starting point for research in a variety of fields. Furthermore, PubMed will direct you to the full text of articles that are available in the Boxer Library electronic journal collection.
