Adding citations to RefWorks

RefWorks allows users to add citations in a vareity of ways. Click on a method in the navigation bar found on the left of this page for step by step instructions:

Some online resources can send citation information directly to RefWorks. This method can be used to save citations from the following online resources:

  • LibrarySearch
  • Google Scholar
  • CINAHL Complete
  • ProQuest Dissertations
  • PsycARTICLES
  • PsycINFO
  • ScienceDirect eJournals
  • Cell Press eJournals
  • Academic Search Complete
  • Wiley eJournals

Some online resources allow you to save citations as text files which can be uploaded to RefWorks. This method can be used to save citations from the following online resources:

  • PubMed
  • Cochrane Library
  • Springer eJournals
  • Nature Journals Online

RefWorks allows you to enter citations manually. This method can be used to manually input and save citations for any type of resource online and in print.
