Remote Campus Library Services for Faculty

Interlibrary Loan and Print2PDF

Current faculty, staff, and students of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science may use the Interlibrary Loan (ILL)  available through the Boxer Library.

  • Interlibrary Loan services can be used to request books and journal articles relevant to RFUMS academic, clinical, or educational activities that are not currently available in the library collection.

To place a request, simply click on the request form (below) and log in with your HelixNet credentials when prompted. If this is your first time using the interlibrary loan service, you will be prompted to create a very basic account with your name and RFUMS email address (it is necessary to use your RFUMS email address for interlibrary loan due to copyright restrictions). Once your account is created, it is tied to your initial HelixNet log-in, so you'll never have to log in separately again.

Remote Campus 2020: ILL Processing Times and Print2PDF

Processing Time for Requests: Remote Campus Period

Due to reduced Interlibrary Loan services at libraries around the country, Interlibrary Loan may be impacted due to a lack of staff onsite to process print requests and lending libraries lack of staff to process requests on their end. Users should continue to place requests, just be advised that they may take longer than 1-2 business days as there may be less sites to fill the requests.

Processing times for Print2PDF, which enables you too request digital files of print materials held in the library collection that are unavailable in electronic format (ex. sections of books, older journal articles that are not available online, etc.) may also be affected.
