What is Constitution and Citizenship Day?

Constitution Day commemorates the day the United States Constitution was signed on September 17th, 1776. In 2004, Senator Robert Byrd's amendment passed and the federal holiday came to be as we know it today. Today, Constitution Day is also referred to as Citizenship Day.
