Creating Reference List
How to create a reference list in Zotero
Click
File
and select
Import
(or
ctrl+W
)
Select
A File (BibTeX, RIS, Zotero RDF, etc.)
Click Next
Locate RIS file saved to device
Click Open
Click Next (the items will be imported automatically)
Select all items to be added to the Reference List
Right click
with the mouse and select
Create Bibliography from Items...
Select preferred Citation Style and Bibliography as the Output Mode (Selecting Citations will tell you how the In-Document Citations should look.)
Output Methods Options
Save as RTF
- This will be openable as a Word Document
Save as HTML
- This will create a list that opens in a new internet tab
Copy to Clipboard
- The Reference List is now "Copied". It can be pasted into a document or text box.
Print
- This will prompt a print request, it can be printed to a printer or change to Save to PDF and that will generate a PDF of the Reference List
