Exporting a Single Reference

Exporting a CENTRAL record

To export a single controlled trial record, click on Export this CENTRAL record located at the right of the title

Then you can choose to save the citation to the web version of your citation manager, or you can download a .RIS file to upload the citation to your citation manager

Exporting a systematic review

To export a single systematic review, click Cite this Review to the right of the title, below the Download PDF option

Then you can choose to save the citation to the web version of your citation manager, or you can download a .RIS file to upload the citation to your citation manager

 

Exporting Multiple References

When exporting multiple records from Cochrane Reviews, check the box next to each item you'd like to save, then click Export selected citation(s)

The next screen will display your export options. For RefWorks, select RIS (Reference Manager) and then click Download. The file will display as citation-export.ris

Log in to your RefWorks account and click on Add (the plus sign) to add a file; select the Import References option from the drop-down menu

On the next screen, either drag or upload the citation-export.ris file to the Import from a file field

On the next screen, select RIS Format from the drop-down menu and click Import
