The following sources are not housed or maintained by governmental organizations or websites. However, some of these sources do rely on governmental data in their reports. You can find more information by looking up the data sources for each of the sources to see where they get their data.

America's Health Rankings provides reports and visualizations of state-by-state health data.
Congressional District Health Dashboard
Find 37 health and environmental metrics for all U.S. Congressional districts. This site is created by the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in partnership with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
City Health Dashboard
See health outcomes, social and economic factors and physical factors in your city. This site is created by the Department of Population health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Data - World Health Organization
Datasets from the WHO, organized by indicator. You can also see it organized by country.
UNData - United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs
This portal provides access to data from across the UN System. You can search by keyword, thematic areas, and more.

Census & Survey Data

Pew Research Center
Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping the world.
Roper Center for Public Opinion Research
A library of survey data from Cornell University. Roper does not conduct surveys, but collects survey data.
Census Reporter
An independent project not associated with the U.S. Census Bureau. Census Reporter makes data from the American Community Survey (ACS) easier to use.

Data Repositories

IPUMS
IPUMS provides census and survey data from around the world integrated across time and space. IPUMS is a part of the Institute for Social Research and Data Innovation at the University of Minnesota.
ICPSR
This data repository is made available by the University of Michigan. You can find data sets, reports, variables, etc. on a variety of topics.
