Physician Assistant : Library Lecture Guide

This is a companion guide to the Introduction to Literature Searching Lecture.

Create a Research Question

Instead of just jumping into searching, frame your thoughts into a basic question. This will help you for a few reasons:

  1. It will help you decide what you want to find.
  2. It will help you when you find results, you can sift through the results based on if it answers the question or not.

Remember this does not have to be your final question, just one to get you started. Often after people get started searching, their question changes.

Example question:

  • Does ginger reduce nausea and vomiting in patients who are receiving chemotherapy?
