Review the Results - Alter Search if Necessary

Your evaluation process starts the second you get a results list.  

  • The main queston you want to ask is, how does this help me answer my clinical question?

If it does solidly answer it, then you can use it, but if it does not or only sort of does you need to ask:

  • Why does it not help me answer it?
    • What specifically can I identify that is not in my article list?
      • Is it ionly partially the topic I am looking for?
      • Is the article too old?
    • What do I need to change in my search to get my desired articles?
      • Date Range
      • Term
      • Database

Remember you may have to change your terms, limiters, and database through your search process. If you are stuck, please ask a librarian for assistance.
