American Medical Association (AMA) Style Quick Guide

The purpose of this guide is to provide some basic rules for the American Medical Association Style.

Format:
Author Last Name First and Middle Initials. Article title. Abbreviated Journal Title in Italics. Publication Year;volume(issue):page numbers. DOI:numbers

You do not need to include month if the volume and issue are included.

Example:
Cole CR, Grant FK, Swaby-Ellis ED, et al. Zinc and iron deficiency and their interrelations in low-income African American and Hispanic children in Atlanta. Am J Clin Nutr. 2010;91(4):1027-1034. doi:10.3945/ajcn.2009.28089
