How to Create a Personal Account

In LibrarySearch, you can create a personal account.  

How to create a personal account:

  1. Go to the Boxer Library homepage: www.rosalindfranklin.edu/library
  2. Find the LibrarySearch search box at the top of the page.
  3. Enter your terms in the search box, and click Search.
  4. Enter your HelixNet username and password when prompted. 
  5. Click on Sign In link in the upper right hand corner of the screen. 
  6. Click on the Create a Personal Account link. (this is separate from your HelixNet login)
  7. Fill out the form and click Save Changes

How to Create Custom Folders in LibrarySearch

Once you have created your personal account you can create custom folders.

Some of the benefits to creating custom folders include:

  • Organizing your results by project
  • Being able to email a folder to colleague
  • Gather information first and review later

How to create custom folders:

  1. Sign into your personal account in LibrarySearch.
  2. Click on Folder at the top of the page. 
  3. Scroll down to the My Custom section.
  4. Click on the New link.
  5. Name your folder, and click Save to create it. 

How to add items to Custom Folders:

  1. Click on the folder icon next to your desired article in the results list.
  2. Click on the name of the custom folder you want.
  3. Click on the folder link on the top of the page to get to your folder page.
  4. Click on your folder name under the My Custom Section to see items in your folder.
