What are anatomical models?
Anatomical Models are physical representations of various part of the body which can be examined for study.
Examples of the models available for checkout include:
- brain models in 15 parts
- brain models with arteries in 9 parts
- three complete skeletons
- lower leg
- eye model
- ear model
- respiratory organs
- trachea
- esophagus
- kidney with adrenal glands
- elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints
Who can check out the models?
Current faculty, staff, and students may check out the models.
When can I check out the models?
The anatomical models can only be checked out Monday - Friday, and during staffed library hours.
Where can I check out the models
Models can be checked out at the circulation desk.
How long can I check out the models?
The models may be checked out for two hours at a time. They may be renewed if no one else has requested that model. Fines will be assessed for items not renewed or renewed within two hours.
How do I check out a model?
- Go to the circulation desk and the tell the library staff member which model you would like.
- Give the staff member your RFUMS ID card.
- Sign the anatomical models sign-out sheet.
- If you would like to renew the model, call, visit, or email the circulation desk.
