According to the 11th Edition of AMA Style in section 3.13.4: 

Format:

Author. Title. Dissertation. Name of University; Copyright year. 

Example: 

Beyer C. Designing an Information Literacy Scale to Assess Information Retrieval Skills in First Year Medical Students. Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science; 2021. 

* If a dissertation is published as a book, then cite it like a book.
