Message from the AVP
As the academic year comes to a close, many are looking forward to starting new exciting research projects this summer. This newsletter will highlight a few different resources and tools which will help you prepare for the projects you will explore in a few short months. These highlights include information about evidence and systematic review services, online guides focused on citation management, how to create an alert in PubMed, a student spotlight, and items for checkout. As you plan and prepare your projects, always know the library team is here for consultations for one on one guidance. If this is your last term at RFU as you graduate next month, best wishes as you start your next chapter in your journey as a healthcare professional.

Alternate Sources for Archived Government Data
This new guide provides information about governmental data rescue efforts and finding data that does not rely on government websites. If you have data resources you'd like to recommend, contact eresources@rosalindfranklin.edu.
Find all our information and guidance on using this citation machine. Import and organize all your citations, generate bibliographies and reference lists, add tags and notes and make multiple files to track multiple projects.
Scopus is a multidisciplinary database that also provides citation metrics by both journal and individual articles. It also creates author profiles that collates an author's affiliations, publications, and citation metrics. You can learn more about this database by checking out our Winter newsletter and our Scopus LibGuide."
Staying Up to Date with Research Trends
Are you looking for ways to stay informed about the latest research articles on a particular topic? Here are some tips:

PubMed- Set up an Alert
You can create search alerts to receive newly published articles that match your search. On the PubMed website, log in to your My NCBI account if you are not already logged in.
Conduct a search for the terms you would like included in the alert and click on Create alert.
Confirm the name of the search, select the desired frequency and report format of emails, and click Save.
In the future, if you wish to modify this alert, you can access it from your dashboard.
Scopus- Set up an Alert
Alerts can be set up for searches that you wish to receive new results for as they are published. After logging into your Scopus account and performing your search, click on the Set search alert button to the left of the search bar.
Confirm the name of the search, select the desired frequency of emails, and click Set search alert.
To see and/or edit previously saved alerts, click on the bell icon towards the top right side of the page.
Meet Favour Atomon
We're proud to highlight Favour Atomon, an MSN-ENP student who has made a significant contribution to our library as a student worker and a member of the Student Library Advisory Committee (SLAC). Favour appreciates the library's dedication to student success, sharing, “I love how they have made research accessible for students! You’re surrounded by tons of research and resources that can be helpful for your studies.”
Favour's work in connecting students with library resources has been invaluable. Reflecting on her time as a student worker, she says, "One thing I love about working at the library as a student is the peaceful environment. It provides a quiet space to focus, whether you're helping others find resources or working on your own assignments."
As Favour graduates this year, we would like to wish her all the best in her future endeavors. She is looking forward to gaining practical experience as a hospital nurse, with a particular interest in maternal health or critical care, and has aspirations for continued learning and leadership in healthcare.

Our Library Residents Celebrated St. Patrick’s Day
Our library residents may be on the quiet side, but that doesn’t make them any less festive. Check out how they celebrated this past St. Patrick’s day in style.
